Dear Church Family, 

After much prayer, discernment, and consideration, our church has decided that  joining the Global Methodist Church ("GMC") aligns with our mission, values, and  theological beliefs. The GMC is a vibrant and growing denomination committed to  spreading the Gospel, nurturing discipleship, and engaging in life-changing ministry both locally and globally. 

Effective September 1, 2023, Lake Magdalene United Methodist Church will be transitioning to the Global Methodist Church (GMC) and will be known simply as Lake Magdalene Church. As members of LMUMC, your church membership will automatically transfer to our new denomination, the Global Methodist Church. However, we understand that this change may not align with the position of every member. If you do not wish to join the Global Methodist denomination, please use the link below to complete our membership opt-out form. We ask that you kindly complete the form by August 31, 2023. We will ensure that your membership status is handled with care and respect. 

During this time of change, we encourage you to join us in prayer for God’s guidance and blessings upon our congregation. As we prepare to start this new journey in a new denomination, may the Lord’s great grace shine through us to each other, our community and beyond.
