Pastor Steve Langford

Pastor Steve has been on staff with Lake Magdalene UMC for 4 years. He started as Facilities Director, then Assistant Pastor, and is currently the Associate Pastor. In June 2018, Steve became a licensed local United Methodist Pastor.

Prior to joining the LMUMC family, Pastor Steve attended Slippery Rock University and received his degree in Recreation Resource Management. Following graduation, Steve started working for the Salvation Army in Ohio, Connecticut, and New York. In 1979, he attended the Salvation Army seminary. He also received his Masters degree from Alliance Theological Seminary in Urban Ministries. Steve worked with the Salvation Army for 27 years before moving to Tampa, FL in 2004. He currently lives in Tampa with his wife, Patricia, and his 160 lbs. English Mastiff, Boo.

In his role as Associate Pastor, Steve’s passion is serving the LMUMC congregation. He enjoys preaching each Sunday, providing pastoral care, and overseeing the facilities and administration staff. He is thankful that God gave him the opportunity to be a Pastor here at Lake Magdalene UMC.

Steve enjoys spending time with Pat and visiting the beach. He also enjoys traveling to see his son, Josh, daughter-in-law, Adrienne, and grandson, Jack, in New York and his daughter, Andrea, his son-in-law, Kevin, his grandaughter, Naya, and his grandson, Kingsley, in Pennsylvania.

Pastor Steve’s parents worked for the Salvation Army and his children continue to work for the Salvation Army in New York and Pennsylvania.
